China Dispatches Two Batches of Emergency Humanitarian Aid to Gaza via Egypt
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: China has signed agreements with Palestine to deliver two additional batches of emergency humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from the Chinese Embassy in Egypt.
The signing ceremony, held in Cairo on Monday, was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang and Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Diab al-Louh.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Liao emphasized China’s continued commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. “To ease the humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip, the Chinese government has continued to provide assistance to Palestine,” he stated. Liao highlighted that China has already delivered multiple shipments of emergency relief supplies, including food and medicine, to the enclave through Egypt.
He reiterated China’s readiness to maintain close communication and coordination with both Palestine and Egypt to facilitate further humanitarian assistance for the war-torn region.
Palestinian Ambassador Diab al-Louh expressed gratitude on behalf of the Palestinian government and people for China’s vital aid. He acknowledged the significant role China’s support plays in alleviating the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, praising the country’s steadfast backing of the Palestinian cause.
“The Palestinian government and people sincerely thank China for its emergency humanitarian assistance to alleviate the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip,” al-Louh said. He also commended China’s advocacy for Palestine on international platforms, describing it as a reflection of the deep friendship between the two nations and China’s role as a responsible global power.
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza remains dire, and the aid underscores China’s active involvement in international efforts to support the Palestinian people.
