China launches new Shiyan satellites
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: China launched three new satellites atop a Long March-6 carrier rocket from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China’s Shanxi Province at 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday.
The satellites, namely Shiyan-16A, Shiyan-16B and Shiyan-17, have entered pre-set orbit.
The satellites will be mainly used for land survey, urban planning and disaster prevention and mitigation.
The launch is the 440th mission of China’s Long March rocket series.
