China's top diplomat Wang Yi meets with French FM in Paris

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Wang Yi said China’s post-epidemic economy is rapidly recovering. China attaches great importance to China and France relations and is willing to comprehensively promote dialogue and exchanges between the two countries in various sectors. China and France’s cooperation will help China-Europe relations to play a constructive role in peace, stability, and equity in the world.

Wang Yi said both China and France should continue implementing multilateralism, defending free trade, and strengthening international cooperation in science and technology. He hoped that the French side would provide a fair and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese enterprises.

Catherine Colonna said China’s fast economic and social recovery is good news for the world. She is looking forward to further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries such as promoting the exchange of international students and scholars, enhancing scientific and cultural cooperation, and celebrating the 60th year of diplomatic relations between China and France in 2024. She also wished that flights between the two countries will be restored to the pre-epidemic level as soon as possible. The French side adheres to the one-China policy and the position will not change.
