Czech Business Delegation Set to Visit Turkmenistan to Boost Economic Ties
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: According to News Hub Consultants, Czech business delegation from the Czech Republic is scheduled to visit Ashgabat in October, as discussed in a recent meeting between Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The visit aims to enhance trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During their discussions, Meredov and Lipavsky agreed to establish a bilateral Turkmen-Czech working group dedicated to economic cooperation.
The two officials emphasized the importance of regular meetings between their foreign ministries to strengthen political and diplomatic ties. They also agreed to develop a Memorandum of Understanding and a Cooperation Program to facilitate ongoing collaboration.
Furthermore, the role of interparliamentary dialogue in fostering bilateral relations was highlighted. The importance of the forthcoming visit by the Vice-Speaker of the Czech Parliament to Turkmenistan in 2025 was underscored as a step towards deepening these ties.
Previously, it was reported that Deputy Prime Minister Meredov is leading a Turkmen delegation participating in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The expected visit of Czech businessmen to Turkmenistan is seen as a significant step toward fostering stronger economic connections between the two nations.
