Czech Foreign Minister: War in Ukraine Is a Crucial Test for Europe’s Security and Credibility

Prague, The Gulf Observer: Addressing the second day of the Globsec Forum in Prague, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský emphasized that the ongoing war in Ukraine is a decisive test for Europe—one that the continent cannot afford to fail.

“Supporting Ukraine is not an act of charity, but a strategic necessity—an investment in Europe’s collective security, prosperity, and credibility,” Minister Lipavský stated, underscoring the long-term implications of European unity and resolve in response to Russian aggression.

Later in the day, Minister Lipavský was scheduled to hold a meeting with Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on the sidelines of the conference. The bilateral talks are set to include Czech business leaders and non-governmental organizations active in Ukraine, aiming to strengthen cooperation in reconstruction, humanitarian support, and economic development.

The Globsec Forum, a leading platform for transatlantic and European security dialogue, continues to spotlight Ukraine’s central role in shaping Europe’s geopolitical future.
