Dubai Future Forum 2024 To Kick Off Today at Museum of the Future
Dubai, The Gulf Observer: The third edition of the Dubai Future Forum, the world’s largest gathering of futurists, is set to commence today at the Museum of the Future. Hosted by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the event will bring together over 2,500 experts and 150 thought leaders from around the world.
Taking place from November 19–20, the Forum serves as a global platform for collaboration, aimed at developing actionable strategies to address the critical challenges and opportunities shaping the future.
Focus on Key Themes
This year’s Forum will explore five core themes:
- Foresight Insights – Strategies for predicting future trends.
- Transforming Humanity – Innovations shaping society and technology.
- Optimising Health – Advancements in global health solutions.
- Empowering Generations – Future-focused leadership and education.
- Futuring Nature – Sustainability and environmental transformation.
The opening day will feature sessions such as “From Deep Space to Deep Ocean: A Future of Exploration and Discovery,” with Arab astronaut Sara Sabry and deep-sea robotics pioneer Professor Oussama Khatib. Other notable discussions include “Concepts of Time: How Do They Shape Our Future?” and a keynote by Dr. Parag Khanna on “Where is Humanity Going?”
Vision for the Future
Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman of DFF, described the Forum as a reflection of Dubai’s leadership in foresight and global collaboration. “Through the Dubai Future Forum, we aim to strengthen international partnerships and prepare for the transformative changes ahead,” he said.
Held under the theme “Shaping a Better Future for All,” the Dubai Future Forum 2024 underscores the UAE’s commitment to becoming a hub for global innovation and futurist thought leadership.
