Egypt’s President inspects highways in Cairo

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected the construction work to develop a number of roads and axes in Greater Cairo.

The President’s tour included inspecting the construction work along the Mokattam Corniche and the central plateau of the area, as well as the axes leading to the Mokattam plateau, Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady said.

The plateau will be linked to the various neighborhoods of Cairo to allow easy transportation of citizens.

He also inspected the construction work of the Hasballah Al-Kafrawi highway and the surrounding axes, which link southern Cairo with the Maadi area, passing through the Ring Road and the Al-Shahid axis, to eastern Cairo and New Cairo.

Sisi directed the government to continue developing and raising the efficiency of roads and traffic axes in various regions in Greater Cairo, to ease movement for and to eliminate traffic congestion.
