Emomali Rahmon Launches Six Industrial and Social Facilities in Sughd

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon remotely inaugurated six facilities of various purposes in the cities of Istiklol and Guliston as part of his working visit to the Sughd Region.

The first facility inaugurated was the Istiklol Lime limited liability company, which has a production capacity of 200 tonnes per day. The launch of the enterprise is expected to provide permanent employment for 70 people, while its products will also be exported to foreign markets.

Authorities said that construction of the second phase of the enterprise is planned for the future. Once operational, the expansion is expected to increase both production capacity and the number of employees.

Currently, six industrial enterprises operate in Istiklol, employing more than 620 people and producing goods worth approximately 46.33 million somoni annually.

Another facility inaugurated remotely was a mineral wool production plant operated by Dilroz Gayur LLC in Chorukdaron settlement of Guliston. The enterprise is designed to produce 50,000 tonnes of mineral wool annually. Built with domestic and foreign investment, the facility has created 60 jobs.

The second industrial facility launched in Guliston was the installation of two new weaving machines at Qayroqqum Carpets LLC, which has an annual production capacity of 450,000 square metres. The equipment was supplied by the Belgian company Vandewiele, and 20 local residents have been provided with permanent employment.

A layer-hen poultry farm was also commissioned in the industrial zone of Guliston. Built on the premises of Shams Tijorat LLC, the facility has a production capacity of 630,000 eggs per month and has created 20 permanent jobs.

Construction of the poultry farm began in 2025 and was completed within a short period.

Another industrial facility inaugurated remotely was a poultry meat production plant in Guliston, constructed on an area of more than 55 square metres. Sifat Murgh LLC is designed to produce 320 tonnes of high-quality chicken meat annually. The enterprise has provided permanent employment to 18 local residents.

As of September 2026, more than 50 industrial enterprises are operating in Guliston. They employ 5,385 people, representing an increase of more than 550 employees compared with the same period of the previous year.

In addition to the industrial facilities, President Emomali Rahmon remotely inaugurated the renovated Sadbarg kindergarten in the Adrasmon settlement of Guliston.

The preschool institution underwent major renovation and is designed to accommodate 350 children. The renovated facility has created appropriate conditions for early childhood development, education and participation in educational and recreational activities.

The kindergarten operates 14 groups and has provided 55 people with permanent employment.

There are currently 11 preschool institutions in Guliston, including one private facility, providing education and care to 2,087 children—108 more than during the same period last year.

Following the inauguration of the facilities, President Emomali Rahmon instructed relevant officials to increase the production of competitive goods, create additional jobs, further improve working and living conditions for people in rural areas, and promote values of hard work and patriotism among the younger generation.
