Ethiopian Ambassador Calls on Russian Counterpart in Islamabad to Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: H.E. Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Albert P. Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan, at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Oumer Hussein Oba and Ambassador Albert P. Khorev held discussions on matters of mutual interest, including ongoing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and the Russian Federation.

Ambassador Dr. Oumer underscored Ethiopia’s high regard for its longstanding relations with Russia, highlighting the steady growth of cooperation between the two countries in various sectors, particularly energy and defence. He reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to further strengthening ties and expanding collaboration in areas of shared interest.

For his part, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev reiterated Russia’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing Moscow’s constructive engagement in the region.

The meeting reflected the continued diplomatic engagement between Ethiopia and the Russian Federation aimed at enhancing cooperation and promoting regional stability.
