Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Iranian President, Discusses Regional Peace and Stability

Rawalpindi, The Gulf Observer: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, called on the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the two sides exchanged views on regional developments and ongoing peace initiatives.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), President Pezeshkian appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation, and regional stability amid evolving geopolitical challenges.

The Iranian president acknowledged Pakistan’s consistent efforts to encourage the peaceful resolution of disputes and foster greater understanding among regional stakeholders.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and constructive engagement in the region.

Both sides also underscored the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran and agreed to maintain close consultations on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advancing peace, prosperity, and stability across the region through enhanced cooperation and continued dialogue.
