First-Ever Zakovat Intellectual Show to be Held in Astana
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Saida Mirziyoyeva, aide to the Uzbek President, announced that the Zakovat intellectual show will take place for the first time in Astana on August 5, 2024. According to media reports, the event is set to be held at the Presidential Culture Center.
This marks the debut of the Zakovat intellectual movement in the Kazakh capital, with the games promising to draw significant interest from both participants and spectators. Notably, Team Kazakhstan claimed victory in the inaugural 2022 Central Asian Cup in the Zakovat intellectual games held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Launched in 2021, Zakovat is a national version of the popular Russian intellectual game shows “What? Where? When?” and “Brain Ring.” With a history spanning over two decades, the game features school and student leagues, bringing together professionals and amateurs alike.
In early 2021, the Uzbek Mass Media Fund decided to support the Zakovat project, underscoring its cultural and educational significance.
The upcoming event in Astana is expected to further the reach and influence of the Zakovat intellectual movement, fostering a spirit of knowledge and competition across Central Asia.
