His Majesty Sultan of Brunei Attends Royal Banquet in Perlis for Silver Jubilee Celebrations

Alor Setar, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, arrived in Malaysia yesterday to attend the Royal Banquet commemorating the Silver Jubilee of the reign of His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Raja of Perlis.
The celebratory banquet was held at Istana Arau in the state of Perlis.
Upon His Majesty’s arrival at Sultan Abdul Halim Airport in Alor Setar, Kedah, he was warmly received by His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail; Yang Amat Mulia Dato’ Seri Diraja Syed Badaruddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, the Tengku Syarif Bendahara of Perlis; Chief Minister of Perlis Haji Mohd Shukri bin Ramli; and Member of the Perlis State Executive Council Muhammad Azmir bin Azizan, who served as Minister-in-Attendance.
Also present to welcome His Majesty was the High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia, Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin.
A Doa Selamat prayer was recited by the Mufti of Perlis, Yang Berbahagia Sahibus Samahah Professor Dato’ Arif Perkasa Dr Mohd Asri bin Zainul Abidin, marking the occasion with a blessing for peace and prosperity.
His Majesty’s attendance underscores the close and enduring ties between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, particularly in the context of royal and state-level relations.
