Huawei Technologies Donates Relief Supplies to Myanmar’s Disaster Management Centre Following Earthquake

Yangon, The Gulf Observer: Huawei Technologies (Yangon) Co., Ltd. extended humanitarian support to communities affected by the recent earthquake by donating consumer goods, medicines, and medical supplies to Myanmar’s Disaster Management Centre (DMC) under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The donation ceremony was held yesterday afternoon and attended by key government officials and representatives from Huawei. Union Minister for Home Affairs and First Vice-Chair of the National Disaster Management Committee, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, received the donation on behalf of the government. He expressed gratitude for the company’s timely assistance and presented a certificate of appreciation in recognition of Huawei’s support.

Deputy Minister for Home Affairs and leader of the Disaster Management Committee, Maj-Gen Aung Kyaw Kyaw, and Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, U Soe Kyi, who serves as Secretary of the National Disaster Management Committee, also attended the event.

The donated relief items have been officially handed over to the Ministry of Health for distribution to affected communities and health facilities in the impacted regions.

Huawei’s contribution comes as part of broader efforts to assist earthquake victims and reflects growing cooperation between the private sector and government agencies in times of national emergency.
