Iranian Official Condemns G7 Statement for Ignoring Israeli Aggression

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Esmaeil Baqaei, a senior Iranian official, strongly criticized the recent statement issued by the Group of Seven (G7), accusing it of disregarding Israel’s acts of aggression against Iran. In a post published on his official account on X (formerly Twitter), Baqaei condemned what he described as the G7’s “blatant ignorance” of repeated Israeli attacks on Iran’s territory.

Baqaei pointed specifically to Israel’s alleged illegal assaults on Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure, as well as strikes on residential areas that resulted in civilian casualties. He asserted that these actions constitute clear violations of international law and the sovereignty of a United Nations member state.

He further urged the G7 member states, particularly the three permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, to recognize and uphold their legal and moral responsibilities in response to what he termed a “blatant act of aggression.”

“The international community cannot remain silent in the face of such violations,” Baqaei stated, calling for accountability and adherence to the principles of the UN Charter.

The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and follow widespread criticism from Iranian officials regarding perceived Western double standards in addressing regional security and human rights issues.
