Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Nicolas Maduro and the people of Venezuela on the occasion of the Latin American country’s Independence Day, emphasizing the importance of accelerating the implementation of bilateral agreements between Tehran and Caracas.

In a message sent on Monday, President Pezeshkian paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Venezuela’s struggle for independence, highlighting the pivotal role of historical leaders such as Simón Bolívar. He noted that Bolívar’s valor and unwavering spirit of freedom have long inspired anti-imperialist and justice-seeking movements throughout Latin America and across the globe.

The Iranian President also praised the Venezuelan government and its people for their steadfast commitment to the principles and aspirations of their national heroes.

Reaffirming Iran’s deep-rooted friendship with Venezuela, President Pezeshkian expressed hope for further strengthening and deepening of fraternal ties between the two nations. He underscored the strong will of senior officials in both countries to expand comprehensive cooperation across all fields.

“In light of the current global circumstances and the unjust sanctions imposed on both our nations, it is imperative to expedite the implementation of existing agreements and continue reinforcing bilateral relations,” President Pezeshkian stressed.
