Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Takes Oath of Office
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has officially commenced his four-year term, taking the oath of office before the Iranian parliament on Tuesday afternoon. The inauguration ceremony, held at 16:00 local time in the main hall of the Iranian parliament in downtown Tehran, was attended by delegations from 88 countries and senior Iranian government officials.
During the ceremony, President Pezeshkian swore to utilize all his talents and qualities to fulfill the responsibilities of his position as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He also pledged to uphold Islam, the Islamic Republic system, and the Constitution.
Following the oath, President Pezeshkian delivered a speech to the audience, marking the formal start of his presidency. The inauguration took place two days after Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei endorsed the results of the recent presidential election, thereby confirming Pezeshkian as the ninth president in the history of Iran.
