Iranian President Pezeshkian to Attend BRICS Summit in Russia
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is set to depart for Russia on Tuesday to participate in the upcoming BRICS Summit, which will take place in Kazan from October 22-24, according to the Director of Public Relations of the Presidential Office, Habibollah Abbasi.
In a statement on Saturday, Abbasi confirmed that President Pezeshkian is scheduled to deliver a speech at the summit, which brings together leaders of the BRICS nations. The president is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with key counterparts, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the event.
In addition to his participation in the main summit, President Pezeshkian will attend several subsidiary meetings during the visit, underscoring Iran’s commitment to strengthening ties with BRICS member countries and discussing significant global and regional issues.
