Israeli Forces Raid Main Hospital In Southern Gaza

Gaza City, The Gulf Observer: Witnesses reported that Israeli forces conducted a forceful operation at the primary hospital in southern Gaza, just hours after an Israeli attack claimed the life of a patient and left six others injured within the facility.
Ashraf al Qidra, spokesperson for the Palestinian Health Ministry, denounced the incident, labeling it a “massive incursion” marked by intense gunfire, causing further harm to already vulnerable individuals who had sought refuge within the hospital.
“The Israeli military’s heavy shooting has resulted in numerous injuries among the displaced people taking shelter in the hospital,” al Qidra stated during an interview with the Al Jazeera network. He added that, in response to the military’s actions, medics were instructed to relocate all patients to an older building, which lacked the necessary equipment for their proper treatment.
Al Qidra expressed particular concern for patients who faced challenges with evacuation due to their medical conditions. “Many cannot evacuate, such as those with lower limb amputations, severe burns, or the elderly,” he emphasized.
The incident has raised alarm over the humanitarian impact of military actions within healthcare facilities, violating the principles of medical neutrality and placing the lives of patients at grave risk. The Palestinian Health Ministry is urging international attention and intervention to address the escalating situation in southern Gaza.
This development comes amid already heightened tensions in the region, and international bodies are closely monitoring the situation for potential repercussions and diplomatic responses.
