Kazakh President Awards Order of Dostyk to Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, awarded the Order of Dostyk (Order of Friendship) of the second degree to Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, during his official visit to Astana, according to media reports.
Welcoming Minister Szijjártó at the Presidential Palace, President Tokayev emphasized the strong strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Hungary, noting the progressive political dialogue and active governmental interactions that have defined the relationship between the two nations.
The Kazakh leader praised the dynamic implementation of agreements signed during his state visit to Budapest last year, stating that the step-by-step realization of these agreements would further deepen the comprehensive partnership between the countries. He also extended his warm greetings to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
In response, Minister Szijjártó conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Orbán and reiterated Hungary’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed key issues on the bilateral agenda, with particular focus on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economy, investment, energy, and the banking sector. They also exchanged views on pressing international matters.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Tokayev conferred the prestigious Order of Dostyk (Order of Friendship) on Minister Szijjártó in recognition of his efforts to enhance Kazakh-Hungarian relations and promote collaboration between the two countries.
