Kazakhstan and Türkiye Strengthen Strategic Economic Partnership at 14th Intergovernmental Commission Meeting

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Astana is hosting the 14th meeting of the Kazakhstan–Türkiye Intergovernmental Economic Commission, bringing together senior leadership from both countries to advance bilateral economic cooperation. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz are leading their respective delegations at the high-level gathering.

During the session, both sides reviewed the current state of cooperation and identified priority areas for further collaboration, including trade, investment, transport, energy, and industry. The discussions underscored a shared commitment to expanding economic ties and enhancing sectoral integration between the two countries.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz conveyed greetings from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by Kazakhstan. He emphasized that the strong and evolving partnership between Türkiye and Kazakhstan reflects the consistent political will and strategic vision of both nations’ leadership, including Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Highlighting the importance of the Commission, Yılmaz described it as a key strategic platform shaping the long-term economic agenda between the two countries. He noted that the mechanism goes beyond addressing immediate concerns, instead laying the groundwork for a comprehensive roadmap to guide future trade and economic relations.

He further observed that Türkiye–Kazakhstan relations have developed into a multi-dimensional strategic partnership, spanning a broad range of sectors from industry and logistics to finance and agriculture. In the context of rising geopolitical uncertainties and global economic challenges, Yılmaz stressed the growing importance of strengthening resilient and sustainable economic ties between partner nations.

The meeting reaffirmed both countries’ commitment to deepening cooperation and fostering long-term economic growth through coordinated efforts and strategic alignment.
