Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has unveiled a groundbreaking project aimed at repurposing waste in the production of building materials, as reported by the Kazakh media.

The newly announced initiative focuses on establishing the production of construction materials utilizing by-products from timber manufacturing, waste materials, and recoverable resources. The project aims to leverage waste from the timber manufacturing industry, along with recycled polyethylene and polypropylene, to produce wood polymer composite products.

This innovative project aligns with Kazakhstan’s commitment to sustainable practices and environmental conservation, intending to recycle approximately 500 tons of waste products generated from these sources.

The use of middling products of timber manufacturing, coupled with recycled polymers, is expected to contribute not only to the reduction of waste but also to the creation of eco-friendly building materials.
