Kazakhstan to increase import of jet fuel from China

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstani airports lack around 300 thousand tons of jet fuel per year, Karat Karabayev, transport ministry of the country, said, according to media reports.

As of today, Kazakhstan faces a shortage of around 300 thousand tons of jet fuel a year. The issue is to be addressed by increasing the import of jet fuel, including from China. The JET A-1 brand fuel is being considered with the refueling complex of Almaty airport being modernized to start using the said jet fuel, said the Kazakh transport minister.
