Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov arrived in Pakistan today to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit. Upon his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, Prime Minister Japarov received a warm red carpet reception, with Federal Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik and other senior civil and military officials extending a formal welcome.

In a ceremonial gesture, children dressed in traditional Pakistani attire presented bouquets to the visiting Prime Minister, marking the occasion with cultural warmth. Both leaders exchanged goodwill remarks, reflecting the mutual respect and friendly relations between the two nations.

The visit of Prime Minister Japarov, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Ministers of Economy and Trade, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and the Deputy Liaison Officer for the SCO, underscores Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Pakistan. Pakistan’s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, along with senior embassy officials, was also present at the reception.

The SCO summit, being held in Islamabad, is set to address a range of regional issues, focusing on enhancing cooperation among member states. Prime Minister Japarov’s participation highlights Kyrgyzstan’s dedication to fostering closer collaboration within the SCO framework and particularly with Pakistan.
