Lachin: Diplomatic Corps Visits Garabagh and East Zangazur Economic Regions

Lachin, The Gulf Observer: Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan visited the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions on May 2, arriving in the Lachin District as part of their ongoing tour of the liberated territories.

During the visit, the delegation first toured the boulevard located on the banks of the Hakari River, where they were briefed on ongoing landscaping and development initiatives in the area.

As part of the programme, the diplomats also observed industrial and agricultural activities at the “Zerti Agro Industrial Park” in Lachin city. They were informed about the operations of sewing, furniture, and footwear production facilities, alongside essential oil manufacturing units, livestock farms, as well as greenhouse and nursery complexes operating within the park. Officials noted that the visit highlights continued international engagement with development and reconstruction efforts in the region. This marks the 21st visit of diplomatic corps representatives to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, reflecting sustained interest in post-conflict reconstruction and economic revitalization efforts.

The tour forms part of broader efforts to showcase ongoing infrastructure development, industrial expansion, and investment opportunities across the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic zones.
