Mehriban Aliyeva Attends Palestine-Focused Panel at Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya

Antalya, The Gulf Observer: A panel session titled “United for Peace in Palestine: Confronting Scholasticide, Protecting Future” was held on April 18 as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye.
Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan, attended the event along with her daughter Leyla Aliyeva.
Prior to the session, participants visited the African Culture House stand. Established in 2016 at the initiative of Emine Erdoğan, the African Culture House promotes African women’s handicrafts, supports their economic empowerment, and fosters cultural solidarity.
The panel, hosted under the auspices of First Lady Emine Erdoğan, commenced with a video presentation dedicated to Palestine, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by its people.
Speakers underscored that restoring safe educational environments for children affected by conflict, strengthening psychosocial support systems, and ensuring uninterrupted access to education are critical priorities for the future of Palestine.
Addressing the session, Emine Erdoğan said the messages conveyed during the event would serve as a beacon of hope for children impacted by conflicts worldwide. Emphasizing that children and youth represent the future of nations, she stressed the need for decisive action against all forms of violence.
The session concluded with a commemorative group photograph, after which participants toured an exhibition depicting the destruction of Palestine’s education system caused by the ongoing conflict.
