Moroccan Medical Firm Promamec Partners with Ansell to Expand Advanced PPE Solutions
Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Moroccan medical devices company Promamec has entered into a strategic partnership with global personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturer Ansell to expand the availability of advanced medical protection solutions across Morocco, supporting the country’s ongoing healthcare reforms.
The agreement was signed during a ceremony held in Casablanca, attended by senior executives of both companies as well as representatives from public and private sector organizations.
The partnership comes at a time when Morocco is implementing comprehensive healthcare reforms aimed at expanding social protection coverage, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare services, modernizing hospital infrastructure, strengthening governance, and investing in the training of healthcare professionals.
Under the agreement, Promamec will serve as the official distributor of Ansell’s medical solutions in Morocco, including its internationally recognized range of surgical and examination gloves. The companies stated that the products comply with stringent international standards for quality, safety, and clinical performance.
The collaboration seeks to provide Moroccan healthcare institutions with globally recognized personal protective solutions by leveraging Ansell’s expertise in innovation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, a Promamec representative described the partnership as a significant milestone, highlighting Ansell’s position as a global leader in the production of protective gloves and a broad range of personal protective equipment. He expressed confidence that the shared vision and aligned strategies of both companies would enable them to deliver high-quality medical products that meet the evolving needs of Morocco’s healthcare sector.
Ansell Vice President for the Medical Commercial Unit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Australia-New Zealand (ANZ), Ekaterina Bogomolova, said Morocco represents a key strategic market in the company’s broader expansion across Africa.
She noted that Morocco’s rapid growth and healthcare modernization make it a natural choice for strengthening Ansell’s presence on the continent. Bogomolova added that the partnership aligns with Morocco’s healthcare transformation by improving access to advanced protective solutions for healthcare professionals and patients alike, ultimately contributing to enhanced patient care and higher standards of healthcare services.
