Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco and Egypt are advancing efforts to deepen their bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as preparations intensify for an upcoming Moroccan economic mission to Cairo.

On Friday, the co-presidents of the Morocco-Egypt Business Council held a working session with Ahmed Nihad Abdellatif, the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, to discuss strengthening commercial ties between the two North African nations through strategic partnerships across key sectors.

Ali Tazi and Nezar Ismaïl, who jointly lead the Business Council — established by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Egyptian Industrialists Association — engaged with Ambassador Abdellatif to finalize details for the business delegation’s visit, which is scheduled to take place from May 3 to May 5, 2025.

During the session, both co-presidents emphasized the critical role of the Morocco-Egypt Business Council in revitalizing and expanding economic and trade relations. They highlighted the importance of fostering collaborative opportunities that would contribute to the broader economic development of both countries.

The upcoming economic mission is expected to pave the way for new partnerships, joint ventures, and increased investment flows, reinforcing the longstanding ties between Morocco and Egypt.
