Oman and Brunei Celebrate 40 Years of Diplomatic Relations
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam celebrated the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic relations with a reception held yesterday at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat. The event was graced by the presence of Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at Brunei’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information, officials from both nations, ambassadors of ASEAN countries, and other dignitaries.
Strengthening Bilateral Ties
In her address, Noralizan Abdul Momin, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to Oman, emphasized the strong and enduring relationship between the two countries across various fields. She expressed the shared commitment of Oman and Brunei to advancing cooperation in education, culture, investment, energy, and other areas of mutual interest.
Commemorative Logo Unveiled
A special highlight of the event was the unveiling of a commemorative logo symbolizing the depth and strength of bilateral ties. The design, inspired by the flags of Oman and Brunei and incorporating the number 40, reflects the milestone anniversary of their diplomatic relationship.
The event underscored the mutual respect and collaboration between the two nations, setting a foundation for continued partnership and shared growth in the years to come.
