President Ilham Aliyev Approves Protocol Amendment for Green Energy Partnership
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order approving the “Protocol of Amendment to the Agreement on a Strategic Partnership in the Field of Green Energy Development and Transmission” between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary. The Protocol was initially signed on September 3, 2024, in Bucharest.
The approval marks a significant step forward in enhancing cooperation among the four nations in advancing green energy development and transmission.
Implementation and Coordination
Under the presidential order, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan has been tasked with overseeing the implementation of the Protocol’s provisions. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been directed to inform the governments of Georgia, Romania, and Hungary upon completing the internal procedures required for the Protocol to take effect.
Strengthening Regional Energy Collaboration
This strategic partnership aims to bolster regional collaboration in renewable energy, facilitating sustainable development and improving energy transmission networks among the participating countries.
