Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: The 22nd consultation session between the foreign ministries of the Sultanate of Oman and Brunei Darussalam took place on Thursday in Brunei’s capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan.

Headed by H E Sheikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs in the Foreign Ministry, and Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Oman and Brunei respectively, the meeting delved into bilateral relations with a focus on economic and investment cooperation.

Special attention was given to areas like logistics, clean energy, green hydrogen, cultural exchange, and educational exchange. The discussions extended to regional and international matters of shared interest. During the visit, H E Harthy engaged with Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Acting Director of Brunei Investment Agency.

Additionally, H E Harthy and the delegation visited the Golden Corporation company, an affiliate of the Oman Brunei Investment Company, operating in fish farming. Omani Ambassador H E Irma Said al Kathiri was also present at these meetings, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the diplomatic engagements.
