Oman, Lebanon Explore New Avenues for Trade and Investment Cooperation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, held a video conference on Thursday with Dr. Amer Bisat, Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade, to discuss enhancing bilateral economic relations.
The talks focused on strengthening trade and investment cooperation and identifying new opportunities for partnership between the two nations. Both sides reviewed prospects for collaboration in key areas, including boosting mutual investments, developing industries, and leveraging their strategic locations to expand the logistics sector.
The ministers also considered the feasibility of establishing a direct flight route between Muscat and Beirut, a step expected to positively impact tourism and trade exchange. Additionally, they discussed plans to organize an Omani-Lebanese economic forum and an exhibition to showcase Lebanese industries.
During the meeting, both parties underscored the importance of elevating economic cooperation to broader levels and working together to build strategic partnerships aimed at achieving sustainable development.
The discussions were attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Oman’s ambassador to Lebanon, along with senior officials from both countries.
