Pakistan’s Systems Limited Explores Business Opportunities in Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, The Gulf Observer: Ethiopia’s Ambassador has held a virtual meeting with Asif Peer, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan-based Systems Limited, to discuss potential cooperation and investment opportunities in the information technology and digital transformation sectors.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Oumer H. Oba briefed the Systems Limited CEO on Ethiopia’s Digital Ethiopia 2030 vision and highlighted investment opportunities available through the country’s ICT Park.
During the meeting, the Ambassador also outlined Ethiopia’s 5-million-coder initiative and highlighted the country’s competitive advantages, including access to affordable green energy and regional markets.
Dr. Oba emphasized potential opportunities for Systems Limited to contribute to the digitalization of Ethiopia’s public and private sectors, particularly in areas including fintech, telecommunications and banking.
The Ambassador invited Asif Peer to visit Ethiopia and participate in the next edition of the Invest in Ethiopia Business Forum in Addis Ababa.
The Systems Limited CEO welcomed Ethiopia’s economic development and expressed interest in visiting the country to explore its investment environment and opportunities in the IT sector.
The meeting underscored the potential for expanding Pakistan-Ethiopia business ties, particularly through cooperation in technology, digital transformation and ICT-driven investment.
