Pakistan’s veteran actor Shakeel passes away

Karachi, The Gulf Observer: Veteran actor Shakeel has passed away at the age of 85, sources confirmed to the local media.

He was admitted to the hospital four days ago, with arthritis, and heart complications. Yousuf Kamal, widely recognised by his stage name Shakeel Yousuf, made his name as a prominent figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry, leaving an indelible mark through his outstanding performances in both television and film. The burial will take place on Friday.

Born on May 29, 1938, Shakeel has carved a distinct path that has earned him immense respect and admiration.

Renowned for his impeccable acting skills, the late star attained prominence with his memorable roles in various television dramas. Notably, his work in the popular PTV drama serial Uncle Urfi (1972) captivated audiences and showcased his extraordinary talent.
