Almaty, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan has announced the passing of Torgyn Tassybekova, a revered figure in the nation’s artistic community.

The Ministry expressed its condolences over the death of Tassybekova, honoring her remarkable contributions to Kazakhstani culture.

Torgyn Tassybekova, a People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR and holder of the Kurmet Order, was born in the Almaty region. A distinguished alumna of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, she graduated in 1961 and promptly began her illustrious career with the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theatre named after Mukhtar Auezov as an actress.

Throughout her life, Tassybekova exemplified unwavering dedication to her craft, earning immense respect for her noble approach to art. Her captivating voice, compelling stage presence, and realistic portrayals have left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the Kazakhstani people.
