President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Turkmenistan on Independence Day, Highlights Strong Bilateral Ties
Baku, The Gulf Observer: On the occasion of Turkmenistan’s national holiday, Independence Day, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev extended his warm congratulations to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan.
In his message dated 24 September 2025, President Aliyev highlighted the enduring bonds between the two nations, stating that “traditional friendship, good neighbourly relations, and cooperation unite Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.” He expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to develop and strengthen in the future, in accordance with the will of the brotherly peoples, who share common ancestry and national-spiritual values.
President Aliyev also conveyed his personal wishes for robust health, happiness, and success to President Berdimuhamedov, as well as everlasting peace and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan on this festive occasion.
The letter underscores the close partnership and mutual respect that define Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan relations, reflecting shared cultural and historical ties.
