President Ilham Aliyev Meets WHO Chief in Davos
Davos, The Gulf Observer: On January 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, held a meeting with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), in Davos.
During the discussion, both leaders fondly recalled their previous meetings and underlined the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WHO. They highlighted Azerbaijan’s active support for the organization’s initiatives across various regions, noting the country’s voluntary financial assistance provided to several nations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on future prospects for collaboration between Azerbaijan and the WHO, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthening global health initiatives.
