The chess school in Uzbekistan, situated in the heart of Markhamat district, has garnered acclaim as one of the most exemplary educational institutions of its kind. With a surge in interest among children for what is referred to as “mental gymnastics,” this complex was purposefully constructed to support and nurture this hobby. The school, named after Erkin Vokhidov, serves as a hub where children dedicate their free time to mastering the strategic intricacies of chess.

President Mirziyoyev, during his visit, interacted with both students and experienced trainers hired to elevate the chess skills of the young enthusiasts. He emphasized the value of sharing experiences among different institutions to further enhance the overall chess education landscape.

Adjacent to the chess school, a Youth Library has been established, providing a spacious and welcoming environment for over 150 readers simultaneously. Housing a vast collection of over 30 thousand literary works, the library is equipped with connections to several information centers. It has swiftly become a popular venue for intellectual games, creative meetings, and book presentations, contributing to the intellectual and cultural enrichment of the youth.

Engaging with the Andijan youth, President Mirziyoyev conveyed the government’s commitment to economic development, increased per capita income, and job creation. He expressed confidence in the pivotal role educated young individuals play as defenders of the Motherland and encouraged their active participation in national progress.
