Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The eagerly awaited 13th edition of the President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup is poised to begin tomorrow morning, promising thrilling equestrian competitions. The prestigious event will kick off with a two-star competition featuring a single round at a height of 130 cm, setting the stage for a weekend of exhilarating performances.

The morning session will also feature a two-phase competition aimed at qualifying participants for the Grand Prix in the two-star championship, generously sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The excitement continues in the afternoon with the initiation of the five-star category, starting with the “Welcome Stakes” competition. This competition will unfold over a single round with a height of 145 cm, showcasing the skill and agility of the participating riders. Following this, an international competition for “junior” riders, sponsored by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAEERF), will captivate the audience with a single round at a height of 125 cm.

As the day progresses, the spotlight will shift to the qualifying competition for the President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup. This challenging event will unfold over a single round with a jump-off, featuring obstacles at a height of 150 cm.

With a total prize money pool of €1,276,000, the President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup, scheduled for Friday evening, boasts a significant share of €308,000. The competition will attract top-tier riders vying for glory and prestige in this esteemed equestrian event.

The weekend festivities culminate on Sunday afternoon with the Longines League of Nations, featuring 11 teams representing countries such as the UAE, Ireland, the United States, France, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, and Brazil.

The details of this exciting event were announced during a press conference held by the organizing committee at Al Forsan International Sports Resort. UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation Secretary General, Dr. Ghanem Al Hajri, who also chairs the Organizing Committee, graced the occasion, further emphasizing the significance of the President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup in the global equestrian calendar.
