President of Uzbekistan Receives UAE Delegation Led by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev today received a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.

At the outset of the meeting, Minister Al Mazrouei conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and the Vice President, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to President Mirziyoyev.

The talks focused on the further expansion of practical cooperation across priority sectors, as outlined in the bilateral roadmap. Both sides emphasized the importance of timely and effective implementation of joint initiatives.

The two parties noted with particular satisfaction the historic outcomes of President Mirziyoyev’s official visit to the UAE in January of this year. That visit marked a significant milestone in bilateral relations, elevating Uzbekistan-UAE ties to the level of a strategic partnership.

Positive dynamics in economic cooperation were highlighted, including the consistent growth in bilateral trade, the increasing number of joint ventures, and the expansion of direct flights between the two countries. The current investment portfolio involving leading Emirati companies has reached an estimated $20 billion.

Special attention was given to advancing collaborative projects in key areas such as green energy development, electrical engineering, agriculture, and the modernization of water management systems, public utilities, and transport infrastructure in Uzbekistan’s regions.

The meeting also included discussions on preparations for upcoming high-level bilateral events aimed at further deepening strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening long-term, mutually beneficial relations based on shared goals and values.
