President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev Visits Al Salam Palace Museum in Kuwait

Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: As part of his official visit to Kuwait, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the Al Salam Palace Museum in Kuwait City.

Constructed between 1960 and 1964 in a distinctive Arab architectural style, the Al Salam Palace originally served as the official residence for visiting foreign leaders until 1990. In 2019, it was transformed into a museum, housing a rich collection of unique artifacts that reflect Kuwait’s centuries-old history and cultural heritage. The museum spans an impressive area of 32,000 square meters and stands as a testament to Kuwait’s commitment to preserving its national legacy.

During his visit, President Mirziyoyev explored the museum’s exhibits and highly commended its architectural design and modern infrastructure. Discussions underscored the importance of enhancing cultural exchanges between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, particularly in the fields of museum management and historical heritage preservation. Both sides also emphasized the significance of implementing joint humanitarian initiatives and organizing mutual exhibitions to further strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation.

Concluding his tour, President Mirziyoyev signed the museum’s Guests of Honor Book, marking his appreciation for Kuwait’s efforts in preserving and showcasing its historical and cultural wealth.
