President of Uzbekistan to Pay Official Visits to Hungary and Slovenia on May 19–22

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will embark on official visits to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia from May 19 to 22, 2025, further strengthening Uzbekistan’s strategic ties with European partners.
The visit to Hungary will commence on May 19 at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold high-level talks with Hungarian officials and engage with the heads of major Hungarian companies. The agenda will focus on enhancing practical cooperation and deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations across various sectors.
On May 21, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, to be held in Budapest. The summit is expected to provide a platform for dialogue and coordination among member states on pressing regional issues and joint initiatives.
Continuing his European tour, President Mirziyoyev will arrive in Ljubljana on May 22 for an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia. He will meet with Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar and hold discussions with the leadership of the Slovenian Parliament and Government. The President will also attend joint business events aimed at fostering bilateral commercial and investment ties.
The agenda in Slovenia includes expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, with particular attention to joint projects in the pharmaceutical, industrial, food processing, and textile sectors. Discussions will also explore new avenues in labor migration cooperation and the strengthening of humanitarian ties.
These visits underscore Uzbekistan’s commitment to advancing its foreign policy objectives through robust international partnerships and diversified economic collaboration.
