Myanmar Invited to Join Inaugural ASEAN Durian Festival in Beijing

Yangon, The Gulf Observer: The ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) is set to host the first-ever ASEAN Durian Festival under the theme “Bridging Tastes” this August 2025 in Beijing, China, and is inviting Myanmar businesspeople to take part in the event, according to an announcement from the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization.
As part of its mission to boost regional trade and cultural exchange, the ACC will provide free exhibition booths to each participating ASEAN member embassy, encouraging them to showcase durian-valued products, fresh durians, and other culinary items.
Myanmar entrepreneurs are invited to exhibit their products at the Myanmar Embassy’s pavilion, which will be organized by the ACC. While the booth is provided at no cost, participating businesses will need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
To ensure smooth coordination, embassies have been asked to complete a Survey Questionnaire and QR Code Form no later than 30 May 2025.
The ASEAN Durian Festival marks a significant opportunity for regional producers to promote one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic fruits in one of the world’s largest consumer markets. The event aims to enhance economic ties, boost agricultural exports, and foster culinary diplomacy between China and ASEAN nations.
Interested Myanmar business owners are encouraged to reach out to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization or the Myanmar Embassy in Beijing for more details on participation and logistics.
