President Pezeshkian Urges Unity and Integrity Amid Regional Challenges

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has called for greater unity and cohesion within Iran and across the Islamic world, emphasizing the need to counter shared security threats posed by external adversaries.
“Unity and cohesion are the most critical needs of our society — and indeed the entire Islamic world — as recently emphasized by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei,” President Pezeshkian stated during an address to officials and employees of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in Tehran on Saturday.
He urged members of his administration to carry out their duties with sincerity and integrity, highlighting that genuine service to the people is instrumental in thwarting the plots of enemies. “We should not consider someone an enemy simply because of their opposing opinion,” he noted, adding that many individuals who differ in perspective are deeply patriotic and willing to sacrifice for the country — perhaps even more so than those who resort to flattery.
President Pezeshkian pointed to the increased visibility of diverse viewpoints in the media, cautioning against the use of such differences as a basis for division. “Today, it is our duty to serve the people — regardless of gender, ethnicity, belief, or race — grounded in truth, fairness, and justice,” he affirmed.
Referring to the recent 12-day war imposed by Israel, the president reiterated his administration’s swift response in supporting affected citizens and pledged that any shortcomings in policy implementation would be promptly addressed. He stressed the importance of remaining alert to the designs of hostile actors who seek to sow discord, describing the fomentation of internal division as their principal objective during the recent aggression.
Touching on the ongoing issue of returning illegal immigrants, President Pezeshkian acknowledged the complexity of the challenge but assured that the Ministry of Interior is managing the process with due respect and in a peaceful manner.
The president’s remarks come at a critical juncture, as Iran navigates regional tensions and continues efforts to reinforce national solidarity and resilience in the face of foreign pressures.
