President Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Kyrgyz Republic FM

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Today, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, who is visiting our country.

Issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership, filling them with specific content were considered.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the head of our state from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The leader of Uzbekistan noted with deep satisfaction the high level and fruitful nature of bilateral cooperation achieved in recent years, including the noticeable intensification of contacts and exchanges at the level of parliaments, governments, regions, the public and business circles.

The Intergovernmental Commission operates effectively, and the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund is fully operational. The volumes of trade turnover and cargo transportation are growing, cooperation projects are being implemented in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture and other industries. Joint cultural and humanitarian events are regularly held.

The importance of continuing intensive political dialogue and accelerating the implementation of priority programs and projects, including the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, was especially emphasized.
