President Tokayev Holds Talks with Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress in Boao
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: During his official visit to Boao, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev engaged in discussions with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China. This significant meeting was confirmed by the press service of Akorda.
President Tokayev conveyed his gratitude to the Chinese leadership and the Secretariat of the Boao Forum for Asia for the invitation and the successful organization of the event. He emphasized the significance of the Boao Forum and expressed his commitment to supporting its endeavors. Furthermore, President Tokayev extended greetings to Chairman Xi Jinping and eagerly anticipated his upcoming state visit to Kazakhstan in early July.
Highlighting the robust bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and China, President Tokayev underscored the importance of elevating these ties to a new level. He emphasized that fostering friendship and cooperation with China remains a top priority for Kazakhstan, citing successful examples of cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, and infrastructure.
In response, Chairman Zhao Leji warmly welcomed President Tokayev and conveyed sincere greetings from Chairman Xi Jinping. He expressed appreciation for President Tokayev’s participation in the Boao Forum, underscoring the shared commitment to furthering the development of Chinese-Kazakh relations. Chairman Zhao reaffirmed China’s readiness to collaborate closely with Kazakhstan in implementing bilateral agreements and advancing strategic cooperation across multiple domains.
