President Tokayev, South Korean President Hold Phone Talks to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung, the Akorda press service reported. The two leaders reaffirmed their mutual commitment to the continued advancement of the multifaceted strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
During the exchange, Presidents Tokayev and Lee Jae Myung discussed a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation, expressing particular interest in deepening trade and economic relations, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian ties.
The leaders underscored the importance of effective implementation of existing and prospective joint projects, especially in key sectors such as manufacturing, energy, machine building, education, and healthcare.
President Tokayev accepted an invitation extended by President Lee to undertake an official visit to South Korea. He also confirmed his readiness to participate in the upcoming Central Asia–South Korea Summit, scheduled for 2026.
In a related development, President Tokayev earlier extended his congratulations to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and the people of Egypt on the occasion of Revolution Day, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s friendly relations with Egypt.
