Qatar Joins 12th ICAO Civil Aviation Directors Meeting in Belize

Belize City, The Gulf Observer: The State of Qatar, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), participated as an observer in the 12th meeting of the Directors of Civil Aviation in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Belize.

Mohammed bin Faleh Al-Hajri, In Charge of Managing QCAA, led the Qatari delegation at the meeting, which saw the attendance of directors of civil aviation authorities from the region, along with senior officials in the aviation sector.

During the meeting, the QCAA presented a paper outlining Qatar’s efforts and continuous endeavors to enhance multilateral relations with ICAO and its member states. The paper highlighted Qatar’s readiness to support the effective implementation of ICAO standards and recommended practices in member states. Qatar proposed developing methods of joint cooperation and establishing strategic partnerships, a proposal that garnered support from representatives of ICAO member states and professionals in the civil aviation industry.

ICAO Secretary-General Juan Carlos Salazar Gomez expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s outstanding efforts and its continued commitment to developing international civil aviation. He commended Qatar’s active presence and participation in international and regional civil aviation events.
