Royal Air Maroc to Launch Direct Flights from Casablanca to Boston and Los Angeles in 2026

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco’s national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), is reportedly set to launch two new direct routes connecting Casablanca with the U.S. cities of Boston and Los Angeles in May 2026, further expanding its transatlantic network.
According to Moroccan news outlet Le360, which cited a reliable source, the new routes will reinforce the airline’s growing presence in North America and respond to increasing travel demand. The Casablanca–Boston route, in particular, aims to serve the large Moroccan community residing in the city.
The report also noted that both U.S. cities will serve as host venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, an event expected to draw a significant number of Moroccan fans traveling to support the national team throughout the tournament.
Royal Air Maroc is expected to operate the new services using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, known for their long-range efficiency and passenger comfort.
The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts to enhance Morocco’s connectivity with the American market. Last month, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) and the National Tourism Federation (CNT) held a symposium focused on promoting Morocco as a key destination for American travelers and strengthening partnerships with local tourism operators.
In 2024, more than 400,000 U.S. visitors traveled to Morocco, according to ONMT data. The tourism office has set an ambitious goal of attracting one million American tourists annually in the coming years.
The expansion also follows Delta Air Lines’ launch in October of the first nonstop flight between Atlanta and Marrakech, operating three times weekly. The route connects Marrakech to more than 125 destinations across the United States via Delta’s global hub in Atlanta.
The upcoming RAM routes to Boston and Los Angeles are expected to play a key role in advancing Morocco’s strategy to boost air connectivity, tourism, and economic exchange with North America ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
