Sanad and Embry-Riddle Launch Future Leaders Programme

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Sanad, a global leader in aerospace engineering and leasing solutions under Mubadala Investment Company PJSC, has announced a strategic collaboration with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a renowned institution specializing in aviation and aerospace studies.

This milestone partnership marks the commencement of the second cohort of the Sanad Future Leaders Programme, aimed at nurturing the next generation of national leaders and fostering sustainable growth in aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).

Building on the success of the inaugural programme conducted in 2023 in partnership with a prominent European business school, Sanad’s commitment to talent development remains steadfast. The collaboration with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University underscores Sanad’s dedication to empowering its workforce and enhancing leadership capabilities within the aerospace industry.

Under this collaboration, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide will design a comprehensive leadership development programme tailored for Sanad employees. Eight talented individuals, including a significant representation of female leaders, from various departments such as Human Resources, engineering, operations, and quality, will participate in the initiative.

The year-long programme will feature immersive and practical sessions held both at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s campus in Florida, USA, and in Abu Dhabi. Participants will delve into topics crucial for leadership excellence, including project management, business communication, strategic development, and financial solutions. The programme aims to equip Sanad’s aviation MRO experts with industry insights, innovation strategies, and exposure to global best practices.

Key stakeholders attended the announcement ceremony for the second cohort, including representatives from Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform and senior executives from Sanad and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mansoor Janahi, Managing Director and Group CEO of Sanad, emphasized its significance in fostering talent and driving innovation within Abu Dhabi’s aerospace sector. He highlighted the importance of empowering employees to capitalize on opportunities and deliver service excellence.

Ebraheem Budebs, Group Head of Human Resources at Sanad, emphasized the programme’s role in enhancing managerial and leadership skills among the workforce. He highlighted the collaboration with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a strategic move to elevate technical staff and integrate academic-practical knowledge for aviation leadership excellence.

John Watret, Ph.D., Chancellor of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide, reiterated the institution’s commitment to the future growth of aviation through collaborations like the Sanad Future Leaders Programme.
