Saudi Arabia to Host 14th Gulf Theater Festival in Riyadh
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: The Saudi Theater and Performing Arts Commission has announced that the 14th edition of the Gulf Theater Festival will be held in Riyadh from September 10 to 17, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The prestigious event, held under the patronage of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Commission, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, is set to attract prominent theater artists and creators from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The festival, which aims to celebrate and advance the theater arts in the region, will bring together more than 400 theater artists and critics from across the Gulf. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a week-long series of theatrical performances, seminars, and workshops, designed to foster knowledge exchange, share experiences, and promote intellectual dialogue within the Gulf’s theater community.
The event is a significant part of the Theater and Performing Arts Commission’s ongoing efforts to host international festivals, enrich the Saudi and Gulf theater landscape, and enhance the region’s cultural presence both locally and internationally. Through this festival, the Commission seeks to solidify the Kingdom’s role as a hub for artistic expression and cultural dialogue in the Gulf.
